Just went to the bookmark tag to find you guys some more stuff for this blog and saw a picture of a guy… using his manparts….. as a bookmark…. Um. WHUT. 0_0
Bookmarks from bookstores, Chicago, 2012: (1) Myopic, (2) Quimby’s. Sort of a yin/yang contrast to these places, which are a couple blocks apart. I like them both, had fun and bought a few things at each last week. In the end though Myopic’s style is dearer to my heart. Old books and creaky staircases, also (of historical interest) you used to be able to smoke inside, which was fun since I did at the time—though I certainly admit, a terrible idea in an old building whose many rooms are almost entirely filled with wood and paper.

So, the past week or so has been rough on me. Yet today I receive this wonderful bookmark in the post (along with the sweetest, most thoughtful letter) from Uli. It matches my bipride bracelet she made me!
